Can some one please direct me on how to restrict an event to a select group/type of membership that is for their eyes only? I have WP-Member with specific user levels. Is there a way to tie a user level from WP-Member to an event in EE?
I am not familiar with WP-Member, so I can’t tell you exactly what you need to do. I assume the WP-Member plugin has an option to display pages by membership level. If so, you should be able to add single events or a category of events to a page and limit the user level access to that page.
Or you may need to modify the event-espresso/templates/registration_page_display.php or event_list_display.php files to get the desired results. If you go this route, then you will need to figure out if WP-Member has functions available to limit access based on user level.
I have seen in similar posts that s2Members may have the option that works with EE for me to acquire this type of access, is that something that EE works close with and would possibly be better choice for what I am trying to achieve?
No, we don’t have any integration with s2Members. I believe Seth’s suggestion would work similar with s2.
