My own version of Custom Template – Event Table – where should I put the file?

I’ve installed espresso-custom-templates and modified the file: ‘plugins/espresso-custom-templates/templates/events-table/index.php’, but I’m concious that an update to that plugin would overwrite my changes. Can I create my own version of this file somewhere else (under uploads/espresso/templates somewhere maybe?) so that my changes are safe?

Hi Daniel,

You should be able to place the ‘events-table’ folder within uploads/espresso/templates/ as you mentioned and have it load from there.

So you should have uploads/espresso/templates/events-table/index.php

They should then be ‘update-safe’

Let us know if you have any issues, keep a backup of your files locally just in-case (always recommended)
