Are there any plans to add the recurring events manager to the event edit page?

As an education facility with 200-300 courses (10 classes each), workshops, and retreats a year, the fact that recurring events can only be set up at event creation time is a bummer for 2 reasons:

1. I was hoping to use the cvs import to create a years worth of events (or basically our entire curriculum) and then we would edit each event to add the recurring dates and link all subsequent events back to the first occurrence’s registration URL.

2. Since we have the same curriculum year after year I was hoping that we could reuse the same events each year, marking them as active or inactive, and just adjust the dates.

If we have to manually create thousand of events every year…that is a big bummer!

I am also finding the current approach to tying all registrations to the first occurrence quite cumbersome as well.

Every time we need to edit, say a typo in a description, we will need to remember to edit the first occurrence and then the second and apply to all subsequent, or else, edit the first occurrence and apply to the entire series, and then, go back and re-link all of the subsequent events alt registration URLs back to the first.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for taking the time to leave this most valuable feedback. I’ve registered your suggestions and we will keep these in mind while planning future work done on the Recurring events manager and the import feature.
