I just had several people receive the error message “This registration step could not be completed. Please refresh the page and try again.” after they put in their credit card info and clicked pay. When they saw that message they reloaded the page as instructed by the message and each time they did that they were charged again. And if you look at the transactions for the registratns it shows the multiple charges, that they are overpaid and that the payment is pending. Also a payment received email was not sent to them.

While looking at the code it seems that is a generic error message that is used on single_page_checkout.js in submit_reg_form_server_error, and since I was not able to capture the data that was transferring between the client and server I cant say exactly what was happening. But that message should reword to avoid this situation taking place in the future if an error like this happens again.

EE v4
WP 3.8.1
EE was upgraded from ee3, the events involved are new in ee4 not transfers.

Hi Tryon,

Sorry to hear about these issues. Could you please backup your site and update from 4.1.7.reg to the latest software at 4.1.10.reg?

Then please post here so I can take another look.

Lorenzo
