Hi – I went through the tutorial on creating a multi-event registration, but I’m not sure I understand how the screen shot from the tutorial was created? For the benefit of anyone else who is trying to create a multi-event scenario, here is how I’m going to approach it… Staff — please affirm this is the intended way to go about it, or if there is a better way: Here is what I’m trying to accomplish: Sell tickets to multi-day conference — the conference should only show up on the calendar 1 time. Conference options: Event 1 – first created, shows on calendar: Event 2 – Day passes Event 3 – Banquet Ticket only SO i assumed that what I would do is:
Now I make the add to cart short codes for Events 2 and 3 by adding their unique ID’s, then I paste the shortcodes into the Main Event Description. Last is hiding Events 2 and 3 from the calendar… Looks like the only way to accomplish it is to create a category “Main Calendar” or something and set my calendar shortcode to only display the events in the “Main Calendar” category. I assign Main Calendar category to the Main Event, assign no category to the 2nd and 3rd events. Not a terrible amount of work-arounding but is this the way Multi-Events is intended to be used? Thanks for confirming or correcting.
Hi Gerald, Thanks for posting this. It looks like you nailed it. At this time, this is the best way of going about setting up a multi-day conference with options like you have. Are you having any issues with it? It looks good to me.
