(This message was added in version 6.7.0.) in /home/staging-poc/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6114 Multi Event Editing . . . ? | Event Espresso - Staging Server
Client has 5-600 events per year, broken down into about 4-5 general categories with about a dozen different descriptions and maybe half a dozen different question groups.
Their question: is there any possible way to edit/update events in bulk?
For example, if the description needs to be updated on 200 events, is there any possible way to update all 200 at once? And, of course, not have to spend three days doing them one at a time?
Any help, advice, or even explanation as to why it’s impossible appreciated!
The only bulk event editor that we have is the Recurring Event Manager which is part of the business licence.. This allows multiple duplicate events to be created spanning a period of time (eg, once a week, on a monday for the next 6 weeks).
It allows you to edit an event and either just edit that event, edit that event and all future ones or edit all of the events in that recurring series.
If you do use the Recurring Event Manager, it is tempting to post events for the next year or more, but I would just caution you against that as it puts unneeded strain on the server.
Other than that addon plugin, you would have to create an SQL script to update the database records.
Ok installed and tested the REM and it looks like it will work SUH-WEETLY!
