WP Version: 3.6
Event Espresso Version: 3.1.35.L
Fresh New Installation

My client is doing a site rebuild and I need to move their existing EE data to the new site. I’ve been doing this manually because the previous site and EE had not been kept to the most recent version.

My client has the pro version on their existing site and this needs to be switched to their new site. I suppose I would need to reset the URL, but I’m afraid to do that and have the EE stop working on their old site because we don’t want any downtime between testing and pushing the new site live. Also, I need to be able to access the pro EE options/info on the old site, and manually move it to the new site.

Can you advise on the best way to tackle this?

Thanks!

Hi,

Please get your client to post on the forum requesting a reset for a developer to live site move. We can do that no problem. If it is under this account just say so and I can reset the site attached to this account.

Having the licence key on the live site will not stop the developer site from functioning, you simply wont get one click updates for the development site.

Hi Dean,

Thanks for your response.

I am managing this question from my clients account.

Please proceed with reset.

The new root URL is: http://www.scalanetwork.com

The old site (which is still live) is: http://www.myscala.com

Thanks but how do I tell the plugin that I have the pro version? It’s still asking me to upgrade in the backend.

Do you have the pro version installed? If not at this time you’ll need to manually update to the pro version (the lite version currently doesn’t automatically update to pro by entering the key, yet).
