I want to edit the text on the Payment page. Where can I edit it? I want to add additional information on the event, but the standard does not allow for it.
Thanks, Chris, for your prompt answer. What exactly is the difference between the file name and the file name including “_display.php”? I have the impression that modifying the payment files does not change anything about them on the website, as there is still the standard content shown. Is it correct that I have to modify the files in the “uploads” directory and then the other files are overwritten? Which is the correct file for editing the confirmation page that is displayed finally including the registration ID?
BTW: Is there a possibility to skip the page displaying all information before submitting a second time? I offer a free event, so this is not needed.

Generally the _display files are the code for how the data is shown, so like layout/styling, whereas the others are the logic and workings for what is shown.
If it is the page shown once the registration has been finalised (thank you for registering, we have sent you an email etc), if you copy the payment_page.php to the uploads/template folder you can edit that there, the info I think you want to edit is quite near the top of the file.
Having it there will mean that when an update arrives your modification will remain. It doesnt work on every file but OI tested this one.

Not that I am aware of, though Chris may correct me on that.
