I’ve seen numerous threads of this type before but nothing which fixed my version of this issue.   Here’s my details:

url: sawdustartfestival.org

API is installed

User Roles are installed

System status does show an problem with session.save_path (i’m on godaddy), but I didn’t see any issue of this nature on the boards with that as the problem, and EE is working otherwise.

I tried this on both an android phone and an iphone, same symptom.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

It is most likely that you have installed the JSON API, rather than the Espresso Services API. Whilst the JSON will be replacing the Services eventually, currently if you want to use the iPhone or Android, you need the Espresso Services API installed.

Please see here http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/mobile-apps/#iphone for instructions and the Espresso Services API canbe downloaded from here http://staging.eventespresso.com/wp-content/plugins/download-monitor/download.php?id=5

Thanks!   I downloaded the zip and attempted to install it as a plugin, but it failed.  I opened the zip but found no alternate installation instructions.   The other instructions in your reply were for the mobile app not the Espresso Services API.

Message: Unpacking the package…
Installing the plugin…
The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.
Plugin install failed.

What am I missing?

Hi,

It isn’t a plugin, it needs to be added via FTP. Sorry here are the install instructions http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/espresso-ticketing/#services
