Hi –

I am using 3.1.34.1.P with MER. When I enter a coupon code in the shopping cart, I get a message like:

Promotional code TESTPROMO ( 10.0% discount )
has being successfully applied to the following events:

(i.e. no event name is displayed). I’ve verified that the event name is blank inside the call to espresso_filter_cart_coupon_events_array, but have not been able to track it back further than that.

Also… “has being successfully applied”? Maybe should be “has been successfully applied”?

Thanks!

Hi Rob,

I can’t recreate this – what version of Event Espresso and Multiple Event Manager are you using?

Thanks for the heads up on the wording! I must see that hundreds of times a week and never noticed it.

Hi Dean –

EE is 3.1.34.1.P and MER is 1.0.4

Hi,

Well thats what I tested with so very strange. Your site is blocked, is it possible to get front end access and a promo code to test this?

Hi Dean –

Sorry for the delay in reply, we were kinda busy with go-live.

One correction: We are at 3.1.34.P (not 3.1.34.1.P), have not had time to upgrade yet.

To see the weird discount message you can go to:

http://macnaconference.org/2014/event-registration/?ee=2

and add a T-Shirt to the cart, then enter promo code ZEROPROMO ($0 discount).

Thanks!

I tested, but was unable to reproduce the problem on my test server. I did test with 3.1.34 as well as 3.1.34.1 and neither showed the problem. I can tell you that the function that you referenced above is added to a filter that is executed on line 396 of includes/functions/cart.php. That is where the event name is passed to it.
