Hi,

I have been working with Event Espresso for a while now, and was wondering if any development has been made or is planned to be made in the realm of the following:

Is there a way that admins can manually add an existing user from the user table in WordPress and assign them to an event? The reason why I would like this to work is that I, being the admin, would like to designate the members specific events that have specific locations.

This would help because I do not want my members on the east coast, for example, to be invited and have a ticket for the west coast event (and visa versa). Instead, I would like to assign them the event, and then they can log into their user panel and view their event, as well as download the ticket from there.

Any ideas for an approach on this?

Thanks,

Alex

Hi Alex,

I don’t believe we have anything like that planned but ill make note of it.

Right now the only way I can think of doing this would take a few steps.

Firstly use a plugin such as this (not tested, just an example) to export the WP users to a csv file.

Using the pre release add on Attendee Import, you would amend that csv file to the correct structure and import the users into the event.

The download link for that add on is broken currently so I took the liberty of emailing you a copy in case you want to have a play with it.
