Hello Forum People,

I have been using Event Espresso for just the last three days and have found the documentation unhelpful and this forum difficult to search related issues.

Problem 1 …. I used the Recurring Event Manager to setup many events. Unfortunately all these events have the same End Date for the Early Registration Discount. How do i get this date to also increment with the recurring events.

Problem 2 …. I need a coupon which expires after it is used 10 times. There does not appear to be any options for coupons expiring with a date or the number of uses. Are there additional plugins which can achieve this or maybe a work around.

I’ve also noticed that Groupons and Group Registrations make a very generous team. Is there anyway to stop one Groupon code allowing everyone on a group registration a FREE ticket?

Thanks,
Dean

Hi Dean van Dijk,

What is it about the documentation you find unhelpful? If you can provide any feedback I’ll gladly post up a ticket to see if we can improve upon it.

Issue 1,
At this time the Early bird discount End_date does not increment when used with the Recurring Event Manager so each event would need this to be manually set. I will create a ticket to increment this date with REM although I can not comment on if/when it will be included.

Issue 2,
The Coupon/Promo codes do not have a limit/qty in which they will expire and currently we do no have a plugin/add-on that will do so. It would be possible for a developer add this feature into Event Espresso, I would recommend contacting one of our recommend developers available here:

http://staging.eventespresso.com/developers/event-espresso-pros/

As Groupon allows multiple tickets to be purchased with a single Groupon code this functionality was implemented to accommodate the majority of registrations, altering this to be ‘per ticket’ would require significant modification to Event Espresso.
