Hi there,

I’ve just bought Event Expresso to use on my site. I’ve uploaded the EE4 core folder with all the files in onto my site in plugins, and activated the plugin on wordpress. However there is one other element I wanted with my Expresso package. I wanted to have this add-on: https://staging.eventespresso.com/product/espresso-mailchimp/ added to my package.

I saw on the forum that this is not included in the EE4 version of the Event Expresso package, however I’m happy to pay for it, so can I buy it seperately and add it on?

Could someone let me know.

Thanks

Hi Simon,

Unfortunately none of the Event Espresso 3 Add-on’s such as the MailChimp Add-on are currently not compatible with Event Espresso 4 which is why they are not included.

Event Espresso 4 is a vastly different system to Event Espresso 3 and as such the current Add-on’s need to be updated/re-built to work with it. You can view more information on Event Espresso 4 here:

This thread will also be updated as Add-on’s become available:

Ok, thankyou.

Do you think in this case then I should install the EE3 version of the plugin instead of the EE4 version? So can you it, or do I have to use the EE4 version.

So I meant to say “so I can use it” where it says “So can you it”.

If you need the functionality of the Add-on’s then I would recommend using Event Espresso 3 currently.

Once EE4 has matured enough to include the features you need you can then migrate your events over and use EE4.
