I am looking for a WordPress plugin (or set of plugins) that would accomplish the following without custom development:
1) Define a free event (no price for attending) with a description and location address
2) Allow the event to be emailed to a subset of the registered WordPress users
3) The email should contain one-click RSVP buttons:
Yes, I’ll attend
No, I won’t attend
Maybe
Must-have:
At the minimum, the total count of Yes and Maybe attendees should be visible to the site administrators.
Nice to have:
a) The free event could be defined in a blog post.
b) The site administrators should be able to see the names of the Yes, No, Maybe and no response attendees.
c) Upon a Yes response, the attendee should receive an iCal calendar appointment in email. The initial email could be in iCal format as well.
d) The initial email could have the location address hyperlinked to Google Maps
Can Event Espresso be configured to accomplish this?
Not at this time, but it is a good idea for an RSVP add-on that could be built. I’ve registered this as a suggestion and we will keep it in mind for future features and updates!
