I need to FORCE login for event reg, but I don’t want to restrict it to members only. Members are signing up for events at non-member pricing because they are not reading the drop down menu, and the HUGE type I added that they MUST login for member pricing (I know, I know…) It’s causing a lot of refund activity and unnecessary work. I’d like to add a login page that occurs when they click to register that has a button/prompt for them to register as a new user, Returning User Login AND another saying “Continue as a Non-Member and Pay More” or something to that effect…
The WP User Integration (members) add on, which provides the membership prices, will display the member price to anyone that is logged in.
So if you force login, every person will receive the membership discount.
You can force login by going to Event Espresso > Member Settings > set “Require login for all events?” to Yes.
If you are running S2Member we have a Beta add on in the Pre Release channel that allows you to set at which level of membership the members discount occurs, which may help to resolve the fact that everyone is logged in.
