Customers are getting this “Leave The Current Page” popup. I’ve looked at http://staging.eventespresso.com/topic/leave-the-current-page/ but still can’t resolve this issues. Customers are getting confused and my client is anxious to fix this issue. The event starts 10/5/13 and last the whole month. I need support on this fast please.

We use WP 3.6 and esspresso 3.1.34.1.P

Hi there,

Please update to the latest version of Event Espresso, which is now 3.1.35.1.P. Along with that, please make sure there are no outdated gateway files in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/gateways.

I will update later tonight. Does the 3.1.35.1P install new gateways? I don’t think I’ve modified any. We use PayPal Pro.

There are some new gateways, and all the gateways had some refinements to help folks not overwrite their registrations when checking out (thus the warning not to leave the current page).

What you will need to check is the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates and /wp-content/uploads/espresso/gateways folders for any payment page templates that are from versions prior to 3.1.34.P. These will need to be updated so the leave the current page warning will work as expected.

Are they documented in the gateway file – commented out?

How can I get the latest gateways?

The gateways are included within the Event Espresso plugin.

Josh is referring to when people modify a gateway and then copy it to wp-content/uploads/espresso/gateways so they are not deleted upon updating EE.

If you have not done this yourself you will be using the latest versions of the gateways by default.
