We have been having a lot of problems with people registering for our event but not paying. We think that part of the reason is that when the Invoice payment method is used, it is not obvious what this means or how it is meant to work.

I would suggest the following changes:
Add (the option to include) some explanatory text prior to the Invoice button saying that this is to download an invoice and pay by check.
When Finalize is clicked, EE should automatically generate the PDF of the invoice for download or viewing in a new window.
When the registrant arrives at the thank-you page after selecting the Invoice option, the link to download the PDF of the invoice should be at the TOP of the page, not buried on the bottom where it is easy to overlook.
The “registration pending payment” e-mail should include a PDF of the invoice as an attachment, and/or a prominent link to download the PDF directly from the site. It should also include links to any other payment methods available.

I have made some of these changes as best I can to the registration pending e-mail template, but it would be better if they were standard. If you’d like me to share some of my wording and code from the customized templates, I’d be happy to do so.

Hi Max,

Thanks for your feedback. A lot of what you have mentioned has already been integrated into EE4’s invoice system. You can test it out for yourself by visiting http://demoee.org

I’ll be honest and say that it is unlikely that we will implement these changes into EE3, what with our desire for EE4 to become the standard option.

Dean, I think you misunderstood — I
was referring to the invoice payment option in EE4. Notice the tag I put on the post? (ee4)

Also, that is why I put this feedback in the Pre-Release forum. I assume that’s where EE4 feedback is supposed to go?
