Probably an obvious oversight but I cannot figure how to set text such as ‘off-site payment’, ‘off-line payment’ etc? I can find such text in /languages/event_espresso.pot and event_espresso-en_US.po but changing the relevant entries in both files seems to have no effect which must mean I am missing something and it is coming from elsewhere?

Hi Ian,

Use poedit to edit the language file. It will generate a .mo file when you save, and this file should be uploaded to the /languages folder. See this article for more info: http://urbangiraffe.com/articles/translating-wordpress-themes-and-plugins/

Thanks John – Using poedit does the trick!
