Hi, I have one critical question that I must have answered to finalize my purchase decision. 90% of my events are kids events and we have to capture which kids belong to which parents, vice-versa, and also specific options on a per-child basis.

I believe I have basically the same problem as the poster here: https://staging.eventespresso.com/topic/ee4-and-registering-children-for-summer-camps/

Thanks!

I’m replying to check the “follow-up via email”.

Hi Steve,

I’m not sure what you mean by “follow-up via email”. I can’t see that in the linked post.

Maybe it would be better to outline your queries and I can advise accordingly.

There is a checkbox I wanted to click so I would get an email when my question was answered. That’s all I meant by the reply. My original post is the one with the question. I need to know if I can have parents register their kids for my scholastic events with ee4. Thanks.

Hi Steve,

That makes sense!

The general way we recommend parent-child registrations, is to have the children set up as the attendees and to have the parent details added via questions, either on just the Primary attendee or all.

The parent would not be set up as an attendee in that situation.

You could flip it over and have the Parent as the sole attendee and register child information as questions. That may not be suitable though if you are trying to find a child in the database.
