Hello, Is API for android going to be done soon? Thank you in advance. Peter
Hi Peter, I do not have a release timetable for an Android app that uses the new API. That said, the API is no longer a pre-release and is available as a stable plugin. I do not know the answer to your question about building a plugin that would authenticate qr codes on a laptop using 3rd party hardware. I think it would depend on the skill level of the developer and the api/dev tools available for integrating the 3rd party hardware.
Thank you Josh, Peter | |
The stable version of the API plugin is currently JSON API v2.0.4.p. To be honest I didn’t build the app. I work on the support team. I can pass your feature request on though.
Thank you Josh. So you would not advice to use the v2.1.0v until stable then?
The 2.1 version adds support for Roles and Permissions Pro integration. With a few exceptions (like the calendar plugin) we generally advise using the stable versions of the software.
