I am having a few issues with the text that shows once a Promotional Code is added.

Firstly I have made a couple of changes to use_coupon_code.php. The text “has being successfully applied to your registration”, should be “has been successfully applied to your registration”. Better English!

Then a personal preference not to have spaces after/before the brackets, i.e. (20.0% discount) instead of ( 20.0% discount ).

There are a couple of outstanding issues:

1. No event is showing after ‘to the following events:’. I am using the Multi Events Registration plugin. Not sure if this makes a difference.

2. Is it possible to copy use_coupon_code.php to the uploads folder so any changes made here will not be lost when I upgrade.

Thanks,

Nick

Mmmh, image tags don’t seem to be working on this forum (for me at least).

Hi Nick,

“has being successfully applied to your registration” We have a ticket outstanding to fix that typo.

1) Do you have a promo code I can use to test this out on your site please?

2) No it isn’t, it’s a core file not a template. If it is just test string changes, then I would advise using the language files to translate them http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-change-wording-with-poedit/ or a function like this http://www.viper007bond.com/2011/07/13/changing-core-wordpress-strings/ to change them, rather than editing the core file.

Hi Dean,

Yes, you can use the code GE3JX97U here:

Hi,

I am assuming you are using a shortcode like this [ESPRESSO_CART_LINK anchor=”Register for this Event” direct_to_cart=1 moving_to_cart=”Redirecting to cart…”] in the event description?

It seems that using a shortcode is not passing over the correct info, so the promo code doesn’t display the event. Using the default add to cart method works fine.

I will need to raise a ticket to look into this.

Yes, that’s correct Dean. I am using a shortcode like the one you posted.

OK, thanks for the confirmation, I will have to leave it with the developers now but a ticket has been raised to look into this as it is a confirmed bug.
