I was wandering if there was an easy way to modify the calendar widget template into not displaying anything (not even the title) if there are no upcoming events or in either forcing à default message if there are no upcoming events?
The easiest way would be to drag the calendar widget into the “Inactive Widgets” area of the Widget manager screen. This will save the settings for when you’re ready to display the calendar widget again. Simply drag it back to the sidebar of your choice when you’re ready to display events again.
Do you think it’s possible to ask for an enhancement, such as adding a default text or not to display the title if there are no upcoming events with this widget for the next release? I was previously using the widget from MyCalendar and I found their widget pretty slick on that aspect.
