Is there a way to not reserve a spot for an attendee if they do not finish the registration?

If a user does not complete registration, is there a setting that will keep them from being added to the attendee list?

Also, if a user does not finish registration by paying, is there a default email that is sent that says that they haven’t paid? I know it sends out an invoice but is there a way to indicate that the user has not paid?

Thanks!

Hi Gabriele,

When you install Event Espresso, the default payment status is set to incomplete. This means that all registrations that have not paid yet do not reserve a spot. They do get added to the list if they hit the confirmation button on the confirmation page (the exception being if the confirmation page is set to be skipped in Event Espresso>General settings, then the registration gets recorded when they submit the registration form).

With the registration confirmation email, you can set this go out out before payment is made. If this is set to go out before payment is made, you can add the payment link shortcode to the email and set the “Show payment options for “Pending Payments” on the Payment Overview page?” option to Yes. This will allow the recipient of the registration confirmation email to check on the status of their payment.
