(This message was added in version 6.7.0.) in /home/staging-poc/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6114 Is event espresso suitable for our event? | Event Espresso - Staging Server
We are holding an event mid next year in Australia. We are having a choice 15 workshops, 3 dinners, a breakfast and 5 other work groups over a weekend.
There is a fee for the whole weekend (including all workshops, dinners etc)
Or
People can just attend a workshop or a dinner.
Can your system handle something like this? We want the person registering (if registering for the whole weekend or just the workshops/dinners) to be able to select their choice of workshop or if they are just doing dinner, which dinner they’d like to attend, and the system track how many people have registered for catering etc purposes.
I believe Event Espresso could handle this quite well. Using the Multiple Event Registration addon (MER for short) it is possible to allow a customer to select various events and their quantities in a shopping basket. It does this by having each item as a separate event.
Of course because each item is treated as an event the attendees are logged to it as well, so they can be viewed in the dashboard if their details are taken, or via the spreadsheet export if only one persons details are taken for a group registration.
So as an example:
Full event
Dinner
Workshop 1
Workshop 2
etc etc
The user can then pick tickets for these (you can limit them to one ticket per selection or allow group bookings), and pay.
The only thing that isnt built in currently is the ability to have sub events – i.e. if you pick the Full event option everything else is included and cannot be selected separately (and thus double book). This is something we are discussing about including as it has cropped up several times recently so there is obviously a need.
If you have any more questions, please let us know!
