Hi Guys,

I’ve got a client who wants to deal with 5000 attendees, and is getting the decrease max value of 127 becuase of TINYINT. What do we have to change to increase it to SMALLINT?

There’s a previous reply from Chris on this issue – http://staging.eventespresso.com/topic/added-by-admin-ticket-count-not-accurate/

Thanks.

Hi Ben,

Is that 5000 attendees in one event or 5000 attendees in one registration that you’re looking to make happen?

Hi Josh,

5000 attendees for one event, with varying large quantity number of tickets for that event. The event will repeated for 10 days with 5000 attendees for each event.

Thanks.

Hi Josh,

Just to clarify a bit more.

It is 5000 attendees in one registration.

The idea was to let our client use the QR code from one ticket, and duplicate it to be used on print material. Then when scanned they could track response rates from different pieces. These people would still pay at the door. We thought this would be a solution but ran into the 127 issue.

Thanks.

Hi Ben,

We have a ticket outstanding currently to look into increasing the size of this. It is in the queue for testing, I cant say when it will be released but hopefully sooner rather than later.

Thanks dean,

The client has decided use EE more like it should, but this will be good to know for the future.

Thanks
Ben

No problem, I’ll mark this as resolved.
