Using this short-codes to go directly to shopping cart.

[ESPRESSO_CART_LINK event_id=”5″ direct_to_cart=1 anchor=”Buy Artist Table”]

[ESPRESSO_CART_LINK event_id=”5-1″ direct_to_cart=1 anchor=”Buy Artist Table + Extra Badges”]

I’m using Authorize.net so i need to make the main events page secure. But once the Https plugin is activated, clicking on those links takes me to a empty cart with the  “It looks like you are attempting to refresh a page after completing your registration or your cart is empty. Please go to the events page and try again.” error.

Hi John,

After adding the plugin have you cleared your browser cache? That is generally what causes that error. Also if you have any caching plugins, you may wish to deactivate it or whitelist the event espresso pages as caching the pages can cause issues.

Yes, cleared caches, tried different browsers, uninstalled all plugins besides the event expresso pack and https, everything looks fine in the status:

I don’t know what else to do.

Hi John,

You may have outdated template files in the wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates directory. You can test this by clicking the “Rename Templates Directory” button in Event Espresso > Template Settings. This can be undone via FTP if there is a problem.

did that too, removed everything from uploads/espresso/templates

Would someone from your team be willing to login to my wordpress and check if I missed something ?

This is what i tried so far:

-Removed all the templates from upload/expresso/templates

-Switched to default twenty twelve theme

-Disabled all plugins besides Expresso pack + HTTPS

-Cleared all cache

-tried different browser.

-made sure the /tmp file ha write permissions for php

Issue reamins the same, when HTTPS is enabled i get :

“It looks like you are attempting to refresh a page after completing your registration or your cart is empty. Please go to the events page and try again.”

This is with multiple events purchase and single as well.

After a week of troubleshooting with this plugin, I feel like I payed for a half baked product.

Hi,

Yes, by all means send in the login details.

Please send them via http://staging.eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

NOTE: login details need to be Admin level.

It took longer to find the page than to correct this. In this case, the page that has the [ESPRESSO_CART_LINK] shortcode needed to be set to Force SSL, since the cart page itself was set to Force SSL.

Thanks for the help, it works now. Sorry for the mess, the main theme was disabled.
