I have a website with several languages hosted using WPML and now I want to see if the EE plugin also supports the translation of items. Could you give me more information about this?
We have no formal integration with WPML, but the plugin is localised for translation. Some users have tried to use WPML and other multi language plugins with Event Espresso and we have helped where we can. My research does not show if they were successful with implementation or not.
You could test it out with the Event Espresso Lite version as it uses the same code base as the premium plugin.
I’ve seen the plugin is supporting localisation, but I was more concerned about the multi language support on the Events/Categories/Forms/etc. created by the editor. I don’t really need the plugin on its own to be multilingual, but more the content that’s created through it.
Again I would suggest testing it out with the lite version, but I think that it’s more than likely going to only partially work. Version 4.0 will be based on true WordPress custom post types rather than the faux ones we are using now so multi lingual changes should be easier.
Version 4.0 has no release date yet, but we are hard at work on it and hope to release a functioning alpha version soon.
