Hi! We have been using the system for a year and want to streamline our registration that would allow us to actually use the bar codes on the tickets we send out to our attendees. Before I go ahead and buy a few hundred dollars worth of USB scanners, I want to make sure I know what to do.
Do I simply plug the scanner in and start scanning tickets or do I need to install a plug in of some sort?

Thanks so much

Hi,

Good thing you asked, as Event Espresso does NOT support barcodes or barcode scanning at this time.

Event Espresso uses QR codes, which conventional barcode scanners cannot read. On top of that the only way to communicate the scanned information to the site is via the mobile apps we have, there is no software for desktop scanners.
