Hi,
I am (also) having problems with the recurring events.
I have 7 different trainings (a’ 3 days) and they run about 2 times each every year each. Until now I have created a event for each and every one of them. But I would like to just add one training one time and then just add dates as we go along.
But when I do this, all the old trainings appear in the widget.

When you say “all the old trainings appear in the widget” do you mean past or expired events? You exclude some types of events from the widget: http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/widgets/
It sounds like the registration end dates for the older events are set so that the registration end date comes after the actual event date. If you’re using a formula to calculate the registration start/end dates it may help to set the registration open and close dates earlier so the formula works out to close the registration on the day of the event.
