I use event espresso to allow clients to register for consultation appointments. Our calendar fills up quickly each week at it can be a real nuisance for folks to find an available appointment on the calendar due to the fact that events do not change color or remove themselves when the attendee limit is reached. How can this be fixed?

I asked the same question in 2011 and was under the impression that this would be in one of the immediate updates. Currently i don’t see a solution in the plugin or in the forums to allow this.

Please let me know if this is a feature that is supported or if you have plans to do so. I would imagine this would be a common request.

Thanks for your support and the great plugin.

Hi there,

There isn’t plans to add more database queries to the calendar in order to check for event availability. You can manually change the colors of events on the calendar by changing the event category. Please see this article in the documentation for more info:

http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/event-categories/

If you’d like to have the calendar modified to hid or change colors of events automatically when they are full, I can recommend posting a job ad on our job board:
