Currently we don’t have that function within Event Espresso.
A work-a-round would be to either setup a ‘Free’ event and then hide all instances of prices (or the term ‘Free Event’) using CSS
or
Setup a paid event and modify one of the offline payment gateways such as the ‘Check/Money Order Gateway’ to instruct the user to send payments to the venue.
This will show the ticket price on the event registration page, then set the registration to Pending once they finalise the registration
That’s a lot more complicated than I’d hoped. Please add something more streamlined to the features request list.
We are in the middle of a registration period for a large event (1200 attendees). I’ve had a few claim their registrations did not go through. This appears to be on more than one website / event.
We’re getting VERY worried that something is amiss with the plugin or the setup we’re using.
Are you using any caching plugins on your site, and who’s the host?
