Hi,

I’m from a student society that holds many events each year. We are trying to move our ticket sales completely online using your plug in. We offer tickets at two tiers – full price for the public and discounted for our member using the WP User integration addon (we previously purchased a business license).

Membership is managed using s2members. Only those members who pay get an account on our website using which and the WP user integration they can purchase a discounted ticket.

The first problem is that students are banding together and using one paid account to purchase multiple discounted tickets for themselves and their friends (who are not members). We currently have no way to stop this. This problem is partly due to the second problem.

The second problem is that students want to buy a discounted ticket for themselves, and full priced tickets for their friends, however event espresso at this stage does not support this. In the forums I have seen suggestions of creating two events – one for member and one for public to do this. We do not like this as it is a poor workaround and is confusing for the ticket purchaser.

We are seeking a feature that will allow the user to select how many of each type of ticket they would like to purchase and to define how many of each type of ticket a user can purchase, in our particular case ensuring that only one discounted ticket is purchased per an account . At the moment, to our knowledge, neither of these are available and as it is a large problem for us, we are willing to pay for this after some discussion.

Feel free to respond here, or more preferably to the email address attached to this account.

Hi there,

We’re not in a position to take on custom development work at this time. For custom developed solutions I can recommend contacting one of the recommended developers list on our Pro’s page:
