I just purchased the grid template view add-on.
I’m saddened to see the thumbnails are all completely squished!
It looks like shit.

Is there a way to program the grid view to use a certain size of thumbnail?
With WP I can specify to create a square image on upload, say 150×150,
but how to make grid template use it?

I’m pretty sure this view is not ready for prime time as it stands.
Images are horribly distorted.

Hi,

The grid template uses WordPress featured images, so when adding an image that is not square, it is a good idea to use the Thumbnail option when inserting the image.

This automatically creates a 150*150 square image (cropped).

If the cropping is not suitable you can manually crop the image via the Media Library – http://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/crop-image-wordpress/

Thanks Dean,
Is there a way, that doesn’t rely on the ‘user’ to select the correct thumbnail size?

I have WordPress generating a 150 x 150 image on upload.
the_post_thumbnail(‘150’);

How do we tell EE grid view to use it?

Hi,

The only way is when a Featured Image is added to the event to make sure that the thumbnail option is selected.
