Hi,

Can’t seem to get the Google Analytics goals to track. Set up the thank you page after purchase. Set the goal with head match and also Paypal to direct back to the thank you page after purchasing.

Problem is it isn’t tracking as a conversion because Event Espresso changes the head URL of the thank you page to something like: /?page_id=2099&r_id=1-513801d15f651&type=paypal so it redirects to that before registering as a conversion…

Any ideas?

Hi Mark,

In this case you can use Head Match or Regular Expression match when setting up conversion goal URLs. Please see this guide for more information:

Josh, please read my post carefully.

I have Head Match set up. Event Espresso is effectively changing the head URL to:

myurl.com/?page_id=2099&r_id=1-513801d15f651&type=paypal

Instead of myurl.com/thank-you/?page_id=2099&r_id=1-513801d15f651&type=paypal etc etc therefore it is not registering as a conversion.

Yes I have Paypal redirecting to right page thank you payment page. Yes I have perma links set up properly.

Hi Mark,

Can you try changing the match rule to use the non-pretty permalink (that has the page_Id). In this case, it looks like the page ID of your thank you page is 2099.
