I have just set up and authorized the payment settings for Authorize.net SIM. When I clicked on the Authorize.net button acting as a real customer, I received the following error message:
The following errors have occurred.
(87) Transactions of this market type cannot be processed on this system.
I also have PayPal authorized as a payment choice. Could that be interfering with Authorize.net? Or is there something else wrong? Please let me know.
From looking over the documentation at Authorize.net, the error message that you’re seeing indicates that the merchant account is not designed for online transactions:
Can you check with Authorize.net to see if your account is set up for processing card present transactions only? If so, then you’ll need an account that’s set up for online transactions.
That was the issue. I don’t have an account that can do online transactions…thought I did. Will work on this. Thanks again for your help!
