Is it possible for users to add events from the front-end? Thanks.
Hi Rebecca, How are you today? We have a feature like that in development. It works best in connection with the Roles & Permissions Basic (http://staging.eventespresso.com/product/espresso-permissions-basic/) add-on and Roles & Permissions Pro (http://staging.eventespresso.com/product/espresso-permissions-pro/) add-on. That way you can control who has access to create events. Here is a look: http://www.screencast.com/t/sNbzxTVEpp
When will this feature be released?
@Albert, Hi we are atill testing this but we hope very soon, we just need to make sure it is secure for everyone!
Hi Dean, I noticed in another thread you mentioned that the release date for front end submission is up in the air due to wordpress core security issues. Any update on whats happening with front end submission? Thanks
Hi Albert, We are hoping to get that released in the next update cycle, the dev in charge of that says it is virtually complete now. So in answer, soon!
Can you provide any more details on this feature. I am working on a proposal and this feature is crucial. Will I be able to limit the information that is accepted? For example, can I limit the venue by user so that a user can only post events for their venue? What other controls will be available?
Hi Jeremy, This will be the first version of the add on, so we really don’t know what features will be needed by how many people. As such it will be fairly basic options wise. Right now the add on allows logged in only members to add events. Venues can not be limited by user, but can be turned off. Categories and Pricing sections can also be turned off.
