    Hi,
I’ve just started using EE and my first impression is very well done. It’s for a website I am developing for a GYM and it does everything I require with regard to different class titles, description, duration and trainer.

However I need to remove all mention of payment and prices. Only users with a WP User account can access these pages and the Gym manage that when they have a medical and sign up. So being a member means they can attend any events they want.
So I need to remove all mention of prices on site and in emails. Also I am using the ‘Page Restrict’ plugin to stop the registration and calendar pages being accessed but it’s not a great plugin.

Does EE have any controls for preventing bookings to users who are not logged in?

    Many thanks.
    Keith.

I am using the EE plugin with Magic Magic members – this paid plugin uses the WP registration system but you set up your own look and feel and membership packages/payments. But the Page Restrict should do the same thing I suppose.

My client has instances where events are for members only but also free so I used the EE Members Add-on which adds a ‘members only’ option in the Event Overview area which you need to select. This requires users to login to see available events. I price the tickets with 0.00 and they are processed without a payment gateway and ticket confirmation is sent out immediately.

      Hi,

As Nicholas mentions, we have the WP User Integration (members) add on, which is available under the business licence, that can set events to members only so that only registered (with the site) users can access the events.

Removing all instances of prices can be done but it will need events to be set to free (zero price) and then a healthy dose of CSS added to hide all mention of the costs.

        Hi,

Good job I purchased the Business License then. Page restrict is doing exactly what I want but I’ll check the WP User Integration (members) add on as well.

I’ve set all prices to 0.00 but ideally I need words like Add to basket to go.

        Thanks,

        Keith.

        Hi Keith,

Add to Cart is the Multiple Event Registration plugin so you could disable that.

Other than that you could check out this guide on changing the wording of things with the language files – http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-change-wording-with-poedit/

          Hi Dean,

Cheers I’ll give that a look over.

          Keith.
