I am currently configuring a series of events that we run whereby for a flat one off payment of £x they can optionally invite up to 3 people.
So the price if 1 person attends is the same price if 3 people (on the same booking) attend. We would still like to collect the personal details of the additional attendees and add them to the booking however we don’t want to have the 3x £x added to the total cost.
Is there a way around this through any configuration?
You could do it with Volume Discounts, but only if 4 attendees were added (otherwise the discount could possibly make the event very cheap…)
You could do it with custom questions, but if you need the additional attendees to be actual attendees (such as for capacity reasons) then this won’t work.
A JavaScript solution could work, but that requires a) custom development and b) that the user has JavaScript enabled in their browser.
I can’t see a way to easily do what you require, barring custom development. Sorry about that.
And no, it multiple or tiered discounts are not possible.
