The Calendar filter for Categories (both the legend and the dropdown) fail to display any results when I filter by them. Issue in both 2.2.0 and 2.2.1. Using just the base shortcode. Clean install, no non-EE plugins. BlueHost. WordPress 3.8.

Hi Michael,

Can you post a link to the page so we can take a look? Thanks.

I’m actively working on developing the site, so the calendar is undergoing rapid changes. Since reporting the bug, I have used the gotoDate function in the .js file and started to modify the css. Nonetheless, the issue was present in the vanilla version, too.

Here it is: http://novaopen2014.com/register/event-calendar/

Hi Michael,

When I click on Seminars it’s displaying events. Have you assigned the other events to categories?

You’re right and very weird. I hadn’t checked every one of the categories. I imported all the events but some did not post to category. I will delete all events and re-import to see if the issue was with the importer or something else. Will let you know.

When I say checked … I mean clicked on.

It looks like the Infinity category has events too.

The issue was with my Import. Based on the sample data, it appears that category names must be truncated when imported. Thus, I thought the category_id was used. Some of my categories use multi-word names.

It might be worthwhile to update the Import documentation so that others don’t need to go through this troubleshooting process.

It takes a community to make a product even better. I’ll continue to report on any issues I incur.

So to be clear, the category name that is supported in the Import can have spaces in it. The actual category name is used, not the id.

Michael,

You’re a star, thanks for the info.
