I may possibly use your plugin for an art event site. It will simply list events by several categories. (Venue, Location, Date, etc) Can your plugin do the following:
Have “Featured” events that show up first.
“Featured” users can login and add their own events.
There is no default system for this. In order to create categories, we advise to use a specific shortcode ( [EVENT_LIST] ) on a post or page, so you could recreate the featured post system by adding another category [EVENT_LIST] above it.
“Featured” users can login and add their own events.
Using the Roles and Permission Pro add on (Roles and Permissions Basic required) you can allow specific users access to areas of Event Espresso including event creation.
We will also be releasing a new add on soon that allows logged in users the ability to create basic events from the front end.
Not neither of these plugins control the registration or login of your users.
Works in a responsive website.
Event Espresso does work with most responsive designs, but as every theme is different there may be some tweaks required.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
