Fatal Error with Upgrade

I had a fatal error occur seconds after upgrading. The website went down and the screen went white. I was able to rename the file and disable the plugin, but now when I try to activate it it says it cannot due to a fatal error.

Help please :)

Please re-download and install the files.
One of the files didn’t get exported from the svn correctly or was corrupted. Seth exported everything again and the issue seems to be resolved. Sorry for the inconvenience.

@Pat you may have to upload the files via FTP, because your server may be limiting the file size of the uploads or possibly some other server error. If using FTP, you should remove the old folder.

Hi Pat,

It’s recommended to upload the entire plugin all at once after removing the old version. The event data is stored in the database, not within the plugin directory. When you update from one version to another, you’re replacing old plugin files with new plugin files. As a good practice, it’s best to make a backup of the database before updating a plugin. There is a database update script that is run when the plugin is updated, and in the very rare event that something goes wrong, the backup can be used to restore the data.
