I first downloaded the free version of Eventespresso and now i have bought the business license. I deactivated everything of the free license and removed all files from the server. Afterwards I uploaded “event-espresso-core-reg” to the plugin folder.
When I now try to activate the plugin I get the error:
“Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_safe_remote_get() in /var/vwww/www.grondpadman.be/www/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/helpers/EEH_Sideloader.helper.php on line 125”
The strange thing is that while uploading through FTP I got the warning that some files already exist in that particular folder, while I’m sure that folder doesn’t exist before.
other installed plugin is “Simple Share Buttons Adder”

The reason you’re seeing the fatal error is because the version of WordPress that you have installed is WordPress 3.5.1. The wp_safe_remote_get function was added to WordPress in version 3.6. Since Event Espresso is optimized to run on WordPress 3.8.1 or higher I can advise updating to the current version of WordPress.
ok tx that worked. Installed the latest version of wordpress and could install the 3.1 Event espresso and all the add-ons (businnes license). However. If I want to install the 4.1.3 I get another fatal error
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare espresso_version() (previously declared in /var/vwww/www.grondpadman.be/www/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/espresso.php:31) in /var/vwww/www.grondpadman.be/www/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/espresso.php on line 35
You cannot have both plugins installed at the same time, because they share core functions. If you want to install Event Espresso 4, you will need to first deactivate Event Espresso 3.1.
Ideally yes. EE4 does not support any EE3 addons. There are no addons currently available for EE4.
