I am having an issues where either our staff or people themselves are registering as husband and wife, or even just a single person and we are getting a lot of false duplications. When you register one spouse and add the second, you end up with 3 registrants. And, I several occasions where one person ends up registered 3-5 times. How can we fix this?

Hi Ken,

By default Event Espresso will record all registrations even if a attendee/registrant clicks away and does not complete payment.

Are these extra registrations appearing separately or are they grouped together?

Our events are all set as free events, so there is no actaul payment. The do seem to be grouped together, ie. Three from John Doe, etc.

Is a link available so I can take a look?

I’ll be using the following registrant name:

Test Test

Thanks. Please let me know how the Test Test registrations compare to the others that you are seeing.

Test Test showed up 3 times in the class. How many times did you register?
Assuming it was just once, what can we do to fix?

Hello,

I registered once but selected three tickets. Your events allow up to 10 tickets at once.

I would set a limit which can be done on a per event basis through the event editor:

Be sure to void out the “TEST TEST” registrations.

How do I fix that? I just looked through the settings and didn’t see where to adjust.
I will make the limit 2 for all classes, as many register for themselves and a spouse. Is this a global fix, or do I have to adjust for each event?

Hello,

You would need to adjust this for each event and save changes.
