Hi, I’m moving a client’s site to a new server and I need to be able to export all the settings/data in their EE setup to the new setup. I don’t see any export/import option, or am I missing it? They’re running the full version of EE.
At this time we haven’t added as export feature. However all the data is stored in the database, so so long as you export the entire database and not just the WordPress related items then you will be taking Event Espresso and its events and settings along with you.
As im sure you are aware, make sure you keep a back up of the database.
Hi Dean, I appreciate your help :) I did export out the full database and import it into the new wp install. I first uploaded the EE full plugin, activated it, then did the import, but the events and settings are not showing. Do I need to first do the import and the upload/activate the plugin for it to register the data?
It shouldn’t matter which way you do it though I personally prefer importing the database then adding plugins etc.
Have you tried deactivating and reactivating the plugin to make it connect to the database?
Have you checked the database to make sure the tables have moved over correctly?
