When clicking “Export to Excel” if a question field is left blank, the columns are moved to the left to fill its spot. For example if an attendee leaves “Address Line 2” blank then when the list of attendee’s is exported that attendee’s “City” field fills the “Address Line 2” column.

I just tested this and can’t get the same results you are getting. Which version of Event Espresso are you running?
