We have a series of events going on and one that has happened refuses to disappear from the widget list as the others have. The registration form was turned off but the registration and event settings have both expired, and the event is set to “public”. I need to keep the event active because the info needs to remain accessible.

What might be related to the glitch is there was a URL inserted in the “Alternate Registration Page” field. I removed this but now instead of the widget link (which still displays) going off-site, now it just reloads the homepage when clicked.

How do I remove this event from the widget while keeping the information available as other expired events are? Thanks for your help.

That is very odd. Would you mind if we took a look in the admin? Can you fill out the form here?

I had some partial success with it. First, I got the link in the widget for that event to go to the event page. There was nothing you could have normally done to fix it. I had to go into the database and set the alternate registration page field to NULL, which fixed it. I then tried changing it back to an empty string, which is what it was before I started, and it stayed fixed. So that one goes in the bizarre category.
For the second part, getting it to disappear from the widget, I found that the widget only checks the date, not the time, that the event ended. So tomorrow morning, the event should be gone from the widget.

Sounds good. A bug to add to the list, I suppose. Thanks!
