Expandable / Collapsible Events Listing

Is there a way to create expandable and collapsible event listings like the example from the shoultes.net site. I saw this thread:

but it all links back to the old EE forum and there is no demonstration on how to use this.
Is this still valid?

Or is there something current that I can use to create this feature as my site will have many many listings and would be too much to scroll through all of them.

Hi there,

It depends on the type of events. Are these groups of recurring events where you want each group to expand/collapse?

Hi Josh
No not recurring events. I have events listed on a page based on categories… for example this page: http://cloud.hyperweb.ca/~sosfirs2/?page_id=138

Where you see course listings, there are 5 there now but eventually there could be 30 to 50 listings. So thought some sort of accordion style function would be nice to have that shows the course name and date then the user would click on title to reveal the listing as you see it now.
