I have created an event, it shows on the website and people can purchase tickets.
However in the backend it does not show up anywhere, not in the event overview list.

The only way I can get to the event editing page is by going on to the website and going to the register page and selecting edit event.

Hi Matthew,

If you have more than 50 events (active/inactive etc) you’ll need to change the Database Retrieve dropdown.

http://d.pr/i/gZaN

Set that to all and press retrieve. Does your event now show up?

Do you have anything within the’Live Search Filter’ field? If so remove it.

Setup the Overview as follows:

Then press ‘Filter Status’

Do any events show?

I think i found it.
my dates were in this format 01/11/2013 rather than 2013-11-01.

That could well be the issue, the dates should be in international date format in the admin, the datepickers will automatically insert it in this way for you. On the front end the dates are converted into the WordPress date format, so that they follow your local time/date formatting.
