Registering users for concurrent event tracks | Event Espresso - Staging Server
Hi, We are considering using your plugin for several of our sites. Is it possible to register users for events within an event? Say I have 3 tracks of workshops offered and want to get an idea of who’s planning to come to what… is it possible to register them for the event and then also have them choose sessions or tracks that they plan to attend? Thanks.
With Event Espresso each session would need to be a separate event in with attendees could register, you can’t currently setup a single event and have sessions within that event they can also sign up to.
For example, lets say we held a Music Festival Event with 1 hour stage sessions for bands, each 1 hour session would actually need to be a single ‘event’ for a band to sign up to. So they wouldn’t be signing up for a Music Festival Event and choosing a session within that, they would just sign up for the ‘1hr session event’ we created.
ok… that makes sense i think. they’ll pay for the whole event and the concurrent tracks can be individual events that they sign up for but don’t pay. then it seems, if i categorize/tag things properly i can use shortcodes to display all the options people have for the tracks? the plan is to do these events around the country (and maybe the world, pinky!) so i’m hoping to create a kind of re-usable template for the event signups and track registrations.
If you want to, you can have the first event generate ‘groupon’ codes that can then be redeemed when they sign up for the individual track registration. (https://github.com/sidharrell/espresso-pass-gen) It’s somewhat experimental at this point, as it’s something that was just written a couple days ago.
