I’m setting up registration for a charity event that also has a tribute book for which ads are sold.
The event tickets are all the same price and include options to buy more than one. The ads come in different sizes at different prices.
How would you set this up?
1. Create additional ticket types/prices for the ads that the user can purchase at the same time as the event ticket, all in one transaction? or…
2. Pretend that the ad purchase is a completely separate event, with the ad sizes as different ticket types, and this transaction is separate from the event ticket purchase? or…
3. Use something other than Event Espresso to sell the ads?
Both options you list are viable, either setting up the adverts as separate events which will need to be purchased (Multiple Event Registration would be advisable here) or have them as ticket options (though you may end up with a long list of tickets, depending on your set up).
Another option would be to use the Price Modifier plugin, available in your Pre Release section of your Account page), which uses questions to modify the ticket price.
This add on cannot be used with Multiple Event Registration though.
